Oxborough Village Green

FRIDAY 3rd JUNE 2022

This event will run from 12 noon until 4pm. All villagers are invited to come along, bring your own blankets and picnics to enjoy as a community gathered to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

There will hopefully (trouble booking one at the moment) be an ice-cream van [Ed – I understand one has now been booked], and we will have home-made tray bakes, decorated with a Jubilee theme, which will have been made by a number of willing Oxborough Coffee Morning bakers and donated for everyone to enjoy.

There will be live music , a local jazz band, playing old time favourites such as Summertime, suitable for younger children and older folks alike.

There will be a competition, where the children will be asked to make a Royal Crown for wearing on the day, incorporating recycled household items, to promote sustainability, with every child receiving a prize of a biodegradable helium balloon.
